Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup softened cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 heaping tbsp minced garlic (about 4 large cloves)
  • pinch each salt & pepper
  • 1/2 teas Italian seasoning

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat
  • Once the butter melts, add the garlic and cook for one minute. Add the flour to this and whisk for 1-2 minutes to cook flour.
  • Slowly pour the milk in while whisking continuously. Once all of the milk has been incorporated, cook for another few minutes to thicken it. If the mixture coats the back of a spoon, you are good to remove from heat. Don't let the mixture boil.
  • Remove from heat and add in the other ingredients. Whisk vigorously until the cheese melts completely.

Notes

You can keep this in the fridge for about a week in an airtight container.
Makes about one large pizza. I will definitely be doubling this the next time we have pizza!
