Curry Powder
easy homemade spice mix that you can add to almost anything

- 1 Spice Grinder
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup coriander seeds
- 2 tbsp cumin seeds
- 1 tbsp fennel seeds
- 1 teas fenugreek seeds
- 1 teas mustard seeds yellow or brown
- 5-6 whole cloves
- 3/4-1 teas course ground black pepper
- 1 1/2 teas ground turmeric
Instructions
- Over low heat toast all the spices (EXCEPT TURMERIC) until aromatic and seeds are just barely starting to dance in the pan. (seeds popping mean you are definitely done. I like to stop just before that starts to happen)
- Immediately remove from heat and put seeds on a plate to cool completely.
- Once cool, grind the spices to a powder in your spice grinder
- Add the turmeric and store in a tightly sealed jar.
