Curry Cheddar Chutney Cheese Ball

Easy and epically delicious. Not your everyday cheese ball!

Equipment

  • 1 Food Processor

Ingredients

  • 2 8 oz cream cheese blocks, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup green onion, sliced
  • 3 1/2 - 4 oz aged cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 3 - 3 1/2 oz medium cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 teas curry powder
  • 1/2 teas kosher salt
  • 1/4 teas coarse ground black pepper
  • 2/3 cup mango chutney
  • 1 cup chopped nuts I use a mix of spicy & salted cashews

Instructions

  • Add cream cheese and spices to bowl of food processor. mix well. scrape down as needed.
  • Add all the other ingredients in batches to avoid making clumps of cheese until all is well mixed together.
  • Line a bowl or ramekin with plastic wrap and fill with cheese mixture (if you want smaller cheese balls, use smaller bowls). Cover and chill the mix for at least an hour up to a few days.
  • Once the mixture is chilled, unwrap and invert the bowl onto a small plate. Remove the bowl and plastic wrap and cover the ball with chopped cashews, or pecans.
  • serve with crackers or warm pita bread
