Turmeric Basmati Rice
Delicious and easy baked rice recipe. So good you will choose it over and over!

Equipment
- 1 dutch oven or other heavy bottomed pot with a tight fitting lid.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Salted Butter
- 1 large Onion, Diced
- 2 cups Extra Long Basmati Rice
- 2 tsp Turmeric
- 4 cups Chicken Stock
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°
- In a dutch oven on medium heat, melt the butter and add the onion. Saute until softened.
- Add the turmeric and stir it into the butter onion mix until well combined. (no more than 30 seconds)
- Add the rice and chicken stock. Mix well. Add a tight fitting lid and transfer to the preheated oven.
- Cook for 25 minutes.
- After 25 minutes, remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes (with the lid on).
- After 10 minutes, remove the lid and fluff with a fork
