Ingredients
1 1/2CupsButtermilk Room Temperature
3 TbspButterRoom Temperature
1eggslightly beatenRoom Temperature
1TbspSugar
1tspSalt
4 1/4CupsAll Purpose Flourplus more for working the dough
2TbspActive Dry Yeast
Olive oil as needed
Instructions
Add ingredients in the order listed to your bread maker.
Use the dough cycle.
When the machine is done, remove the dough to a lightly floured surface. Knead for a few minutes. Shape into a ball and place it into a lightly oiled bowl (flip the dough over so whole ball of dough has a very light film of oil). Cover with plastic film and let rise in a warm place until double in size. - about an hour.
Punch the dough down and knead a few times. Shape as you would like to bake and put the shaped dough into appropriate (for your purposes) baking pan. Cover and let rise again until doubled in size - about an hour
bake @350° for 30 - 35 minutes
Remove from oven, wipe top with butter and let rest in the pan for 5 minutes
Remove loaf from pan and let cool completely before cutting or wrapping up.
